The Carpenter Bee is another solitary Bee living in the bark of Mangrove trees in a burrow they create by chopping away in the softer timbers (hence the name). This female Carpenter Bee was hard at work on the tropical Magnetic Island at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland.
