A ship and a Star to sail her by, Magnetic Island, QLD Australia - Open Edition Standard 3:2 ratio Print
In the tranquility of Horseshoe Bay on Magnetic Island in late Autumn, a lone shrimp trawler lights the Coral Sea in search of a feed. The vessel, perhaps unable to see the myriad of stars in that Galactic core of our very own Galaxy rising to the heavens as her backdrop. It staggers me sometimes when there is little or no light pollution in dark skies over ocean, that ancient mariners and our first nations peoples were able to determine which stars and constellation to use to guide them across vast journeys, and help select the currents and winds that favoured a safe trip in the dark, by the movement of these celestial mega-structures alone.
This is an open-edition print in either a lustre (semi-gloss) or matt finish.
All sizes are listed in inches with a 3:2 ratio
Images are printed borderless and ready for mounting/framing
