The river Mersey enters the ocean at Devonport on Tasmania’s northern coastline. On it’s western flank is a majestic rocky outcrop known as Mersey Bluff. The Lighthouse is vital to all shipping that use the port and has been an icon of the town for over one hundred years. Fishermen often brave the rocks for the deep water catch that tempts as the cliff face falls away. In the late afternoon sun a shimmer across the open water is the only clue as to how wild she may get.
