The image of the Honey Bee has a special significance for those with a heritage embedded in the North West of England. During the Industrial revolution, that was so impactful on cities such as Manchester and it’s surrounds, the worker Bee began to symbolise the factory worker. Without the grit and determination of this workforce the factory, or the hive, would not survive.
