Dragon fruit feed for the Honey Bee, Magnetic Island Queensland Australia - Standard 3:2 ratio Panorama, Open Edition prints
Dragon Fruit trees are prolific with flowers, but only over a short time period, and only during the brightest of sunny days. So when opportunity knocks, as they say, the European Honey Bee takes full advantage of this extremely rich source of nectar and pollen. With multiple stamen throughout each bloom she systematically walks through the inside of the petal basket. Completely oblivious to my presence, and even if not, she was dedicated to the one task of filling those carry bags on her rear legs to the brim.
These images are all wide ratio panorama with a 3:2 long edge to short edge ratio. They are printed on 280gms quality photo paper with rich permanent inks and crisp resolution across the frame.
