Wild Ocean blue waters of a fierce sea in the roaring forties - Tasman Peninsula TAS, Australia - Wide 3:1 ratio Panorama, Open Edition print

from $90.00

It is a cliche to say the ocean is a fickle mistress, yet this is just one of many sailor’s sonnets that spring to mind when looking at these rollers and breakers coming in to the Tasman Peninsula Cliff faces. Starting as mere undulations far out and culminating in walls of water rising high their crests whipped apart by the winds of the roaring forties, they crash inward on themselves. The spray from the top of each wave almost creating a fairy floss of salt water. Captured here far out at sea with the early morning light creating sparkles on the rim and saturating the blue of the face of this long slinky wave, before it sinks and disgorges it’s energy into the next tortured torrent in a ceaseless cycle.

These images are all wide ratio panorama with a 3:1 long edge to short edge ratio. They are printed on 280gms quality photo paper with rich permanent inks and crisp resolution across the frame.
