Aurora Australia over the North West of Tasmania, Australia - Wide 3:1 ratio Panorama, Open Edition print

from $90.00

Southern Lights or Aurora Australia made a frequent appearance in Tasmania this year due to greater than average Coronal activity on our sun. Perched high over the plains of the Don and Forth valleys, Braddon’s Lookout makes for a wonderful vantage point across to the Dial Ranges. Looking west and slightly south also affords a great chance of sighting this incredible phenomenon. Captured here with a number of still frames and stitched to provide this colourful and expansive image of the night sky. Those upward shafts of pink could almost be dancing search lights looking for alien craft.

These images are all wide ratio panorama with a 3:1 long edge to short edge ratio. They are printed on 280gms quality photo paper with rich permanent inks and crisp resolution across the frame.
