Lights over the Yarra River in Melbourne, Australia - Wide 3:1 ratio Panorama, Open Edition prints
Melbourne, the capital city of the state of Victoria in Australia, sits astride the Yarra River. It is a self-titled centre for the arts in Australia, and architectural statements are a big part of that claim. One of the biggest architectural statements is the Flinders Street Railway Station in the heart of the city. Seen here lit by floodlights on the banks of the Yarra, it literally glows. The golden hues of the sandstone so bright they reflect like embers of fire in the waters of the fast flowing river. From the shadows of the east bank, a fellow Photographer tries his luck at painting with light.
These images are all wide ratio panorama with a 3:1 long edge to short edge ratio. They are printed on 280gms quality photo paper with rich permanent inks and crisp resolution across the frame.
