Preston Falls has a colossal drop together with a profound volume of water throughout all seasons in Tasmania, not just Winter. Standing in defiance of this gravity assisted onslaught at the base of the falls is this single anvil pointed rock formation. It just brought the concept of resilience in to sharp focus in my mind when I saw this and contemplated how long through the Isladns history it had been there “holding” it’s stance against the endless stream.
