The small town of Canmore is about 20 min South of its perhaps more well known neighbour, Banff. It sits in the Bow Valley and at the side of Bow River. A number of small creeks fed by snow melt running through the main part of town. This pond is part of one such creek called Policeman’s Creek. There is an original cabin, now disused, for Canada’s finest Mounties just opposite. This reflection on the still water of the pond greeted us on a morning stroll through town. As if one majestic view was not enough this doubled your value! The fresh breeze off the mountains and clear skies, save a few high clouds, just add to the definition of the peaks and craggy faces capped with fresh snow.
