Another primate group with so much facial expression and fascinating social behaviour are the Baboons. This elder male was sat contented for most of the time just absorbing what he saw in the world around him. However should something happen to cause interest or concern the face would animate with anything from a small wrinkle around the mouth, to a full blown teeth flash and and eye pop with the shaggy mane flying back and forth. So supremely expressive, that like a seasoned regimental Sergeant Major, this was mostly enough to restore order to his troop. Upon tranquility, his face would return to this deep deep contemplative fascade of learning, just observe that glint shielded by the brows.
