Tents along the edge of the Great Slave Lake with a view in the skies to blow your mind. The middle of a Northern winter on the edge of the Arctic, and snow and ice all around reflecting the amazing dance of the Aurora above us. This image for me, is one of my favourites from the trip with no wind and clear skies. The full extent of the rhythmic yet eclectic dance moves these torrents of green and burgundy light put on above our heads. Even a moon low in the sky could not rival the brilliance and density of the display from this ionic discharge - Northern Lights by name and by nature. It was night two and about 10:00pm. We sat absorbing this performance in silence save the occasional “click” of camera shutter.
This is an open-edition print in either a lustre (semi-gloss) or matt finish.
