In the North West of the northern coast of Tasmania sits a small town of Wynyard and perched high on the edge of a flat “table” shaped headland is Table Cape Lighthouse. Surrounded by natural woodlands and open paddocks for flower and vegetable growing, the lighthouse base is actually in a small hollow very near the edge of the cliff face. With clear blue skies for much of the summer, it’s a great destination late in the season for a picnic lunch and nature stroll.
